The Piney-Pinecreek Border Airport south of Piney, Manitoba, permanently closed on December 27, 2024. The airport was rarely used and was in need of repair. It was one of the only bi-international airports that crosses the Canada-U.S. border. The international agreement with Minnesota Department of Transportation ended December 26, 2024 without a plan for renewal.
