Yellowknife Airport has reported an 18% year-over-year increase in passenger volumes in 2024, bringing traffic totals closer to pre-pandemic levels. The airport is planning upgrades to passenger spaces and parking in anticipation of greater passenger volumes. In particular, the territory's tourism industry is supported by the increase in air passenger traffic.
