School District 60, located in Fort St. John, is looking to hire more teaching staff going into the 2024 school year. Staff shortages have persisted throughout Northern B.C. for more than 10 years. District 60 had a substantial shortage of substitute teachers in 2023 which is expected to continue this school year. The district has also tried to hire a psychologist for several years without success.
