Boeing Canada has announced plans to spend $61M in British Columbia as part of a military planes contract with Canada. About $48M will go towards building research and development capacity at Boeing's Vancouver facility. The remaining $13M will go to COTA Aviation in Parksville to establish an aerospace manufacturing training facility that will train 10 workers a year.
RaceRocks 3D, an Indigenous-owned aerospace and defence training company, is launching its Indigenous internship and graduate program in Victoria on June 3. The program will provide participants with the necessary skills to work in the aerospace and defence industries.
