Education: College/CEGEP. Asset languages: English, Middle (1100-1500). Tasks: Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of mechanisms, components and systems. Design power plants, machines and equipment. Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems. Develop maintenance standards, schedules and programs. Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems. Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems. Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial construction or maintenance. Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations and cost estimates. Assess business opportunities and develop strategies. Leading/instructing groups. Commission systems and components. Print in 3D. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association. SOLIDWORKS Certification. Membership in l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec. Computer and technology knowledge: Mastercam CAD/CAM. SolidWorks software. AutoCAD. MS Windows. MS Office. MS Excel. Area of work experience: Purchasing, procurement and contracts. Research and development. Project management. Fabrication. Project coordination. Design.
