Reporting to the Controller, the Intermediate Accountant will provide general support to the finance department in a variety of functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll for several entities.
*Duties:*
* Verify and process accounts payable invoices for payment.
* Reconcile bank statements.
* Prepare and balance period-end reports.
* Make collection calls for accounts receivable.
* Create new employee profiles and maintain employee information in Dayforce, Ceridian, and QuickBooks.
* Create new personnel files and scan hiring/payroll information to individual files.
* Prepare and verify statements of earnings for employees.
* Prepare, verify, and process all employee payroll related payments, including regular pay, commissions, vacation pay, and special payments such as bonuses.
* Prepare payroll related filings and supporting documentation, such as year-end tax statements and Records of Employment
* Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
* Ensure retention and signing bonus payments are processed at established intervals.
* Enroll and maintain employees on benefits platform.
* Prepare employment verification letters as required for financial institutions or government agencies.
* Ad Hoc reconciliations of general ledger accounts
* Comply with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Innotech activities.
* Reconcile corporate credit card accounts.
* Collaborate with controller for process improvement opportunities.
* Basic GST, Employee Health Tax, and other statutory filings
* Perform other related duties as required.
*Knowledge and Skills:*
* Minimum 2 years? experience in a similar role
* High School Graduation with post-secondary courses in accounting and/or Payroll preferred.
* Ability to perform Intermediate accounting procedures.
* Ability to reconcile between multiple software systems.
* Basic understanding of intercompany billing
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
* Ability to handle data and issues with confidentiality.
* Familiarity with Employment Standards and Worksafe Legislation
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
* Proficient with computer programs such as Word, Excel, accounting software/ERP, SAP, QuickBooks
* Works with a sense of urgency, is well organized and capable of meeting deadlines.

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
