Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Accountant would be responsible for the following items. Please note this is not an exhaustive list and additional responsibilities may be required.
*Responsibilities*
· Work in coordination with the accounting staff to ensure all financial responsibilities are being done in both a timely and accurate manner. This includes but is not limited to:
* Receive, review and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness.
* Match invoices to purchase orders and verify/coordinate information with the Project Management team.
* Request and verify approval from authorized approvers.
* Code and Enter invoices in the appropriate accounts.
* Track invoices to ensure timely and accurate processing.
* Respond to vendor and subcontractor requests for payment updates.
* Reconcile vendor and subcontractor statements, addressing and requesting resolution for any discrepancies.
* Prepare and process payments to vendors and subcontractors based on agreed terms.
* Track and approve credit card expenses.
* Reconcile credit card statements with recorded transactions.
* Monitor and record project expense journal entries.
* Prepare and provide statutory declarations as required for compliance purposes.
* Perform GST and PST remittance and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
*Experience/Qualifications*
* Experience using Sage 50 and 100 considered an asset.
* 2-4 years of office administration experience, preferably in the construction/cladding industry.
* Accounting/Invoicing experience is considered an asset.
* Strong leadership qualities.
* Ability to multitask and handle difficult situations.
* Keen eye for details.
* Strong analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
* Deadline and detail oriented.
* Experience working with Excel and Microsoft Office.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $48,000.00-$58,000.00 per year
