The Société de transport du Saguenay (STS) is acquiring 26 electric buses from Nova Bus, a manufacturer from Saint-Eustache. The Government of Quebec is covering 95% of the cost of each vehicle, which is estimated at $1.5M. The STS expects to receive the buses by 2027.

Pneus à Rabais, a tire retailer and distributor, started to build a new warehouse in Saint-Jérôme in September 2024. The warehouse is scheduled to open in September 2025.

Lion Electric is a heavy-duty electric vehicle manufacturer with a plant in Saint-Jérôme, among others. The manufacturer cut 150 positions in Canada and the United States, which reduced the workforce to around 160 employees.

Maxi, a supermarket chain, began construction on a grocery store in Sainte-Adèle. The multimillion-dollar investment will create around 100 jobs. The store is scheduled to open in the summer of 2025.

Boucherie Nordest invested $4.2M in expanding its facilities in Mont-Laurier thanks to $1M in federal and provincial funding. The investment helped the company create 15 new jobs, which brings the total workforce to 37.
