Refrigeration and Air Conditioning to lead and support our field service team in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. This is a senior, hands-on role that combines commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC service work with the supervision, coordination, and on-the-job training of journeypersons and apprentices. The Foreperson is the technical authority on site, the quality benchmark, and the primary developer of our junior trade workforce. *Responsibilities* * Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems in commercial settings. * Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to ensure precise installation and repairs. * Perform all related tasks as required. * Conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal system performance. * Troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and mechanical knowledge. * Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently. * Adhere strictly to safety protocols and environmental standards. * Provide excellent customer service by explaining technical issues clearly. * *Qualifications* * 10 years proven experience in HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance. * Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. * Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams. * Experience with plumbing, boilers, and appliance repair is preferred. * Supervise, direct, and coordinate the daily work of journeypersons and apprentices assigned to your projects ? including work allocation, quality control, and site safety * Train and mentor apprentices and junior technicians in installation techniques, service procedures, diagnostic methods, code requirements, and safe work practices * Conduct safety inspections; ensure full compliance with the BC Refrigeration Safety Regulation, CSA B52 Mechanical Refrigeration Code, Canadian Electrical Code, WorkSafeBC standards, and One Degree's internal safety procedures * Maintain accurate service records, time records, and parts logs; report regularly to management * Liaise directly with clients on technical issues, system design considerations, project progress, and post-installation support 'Join us at One Degree HVAC Service Group Ltd where your skills help us build better environments.
