The Tenant Companion shall be responsible and accountable for promoting Tenant independence. (S)he shall assist the Tenant with activities of daily living promoting independence, dignity and self-esteem. The Tenant Companion shall observe for any changes in cognitive or health status. Any changes shall be reported to the Senior Tenant Companion or designate. The Tenant Companion shall participate in leisure time and recreational activity programs. · High school diploma or equivalent · Life and work experience in homemaking, caring for the elderly and dementia care · Ability to communicate effectively in English and French using written and verbal skills · Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Pay: $17.57-$20.03 per hour Benefits: * Casual dress * Company events * Discounted or free food * Employee assistance program * On-site parking Application question(s): * Do you have any experience working with people living with dementia?
