Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Dangerous. At heights. Noisy. Outdoors. Work setting: Urban area. Various locations. Landscape contractor. Tasks: Trim trees to achieve the desired pruning objective such as crown cleaning, thinning, raising, reduction, restoration, espalier pruning, vista pruning. Survey and assess designated sites. Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions. Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease. Tree removal. Weed, prune and trim trees and plants. Operate chainsaw to fell, delimb and buck trees. Assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certification. Arboriculturists Trade Certification. Landscaping experience: Residential projects. Park and recreation sites. Area of specialization: Horticultural consulting. Plant knowledge and identification. Horticulture. Tree service. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail.
