*Company Information* ADP Engineering is an engineering consulting firm focused on roadway and area lighting. Established in 2007, ADP Engineering provides design and consulting services to other engineering firms, developers and to all levels of government. *Position description* ADP is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Engineering Design and Drafting Technologist to join our team. In this role you will be working alongside senior staff. You will have the opportunity to improve your skills and develop new ones. We do expect, however, that you have a good command of drafting you learned in school and previous employment. At ADP you will be working on a multitude of projects with a variety of tasks which extend beyond CAD work, such as lighting design, site assessments, construction monitoring, reports and specifications, and a small electrical design component. The work requires a high level of concentration and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. We will train and help the right individual to become a successful team member. *Main responsibilities* Produce highly accurate engineering drawings: setting up files (model/paper), create sheet sets, set up viewports, create title blocks, annotations and tables, plotting and setting up plot styles using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Photometric design using AGi32 software. Prepare reports, material and performance specifications, engineering estimates. Construction monitoring to ensure compliance to design and construction standards. Conduct site visits to collect or confirm as-built data for past projects or projects under design. Basic electrical calculations. Quality control checks to verify accuracy of own work and team?s work. *Qualifications and Skills* The successful applicant will possess a two-year diploma in an Engineering related field (E.g. Engineering Design and Drafting, Civil or Electrical Engineering) and a minimum of two years of progressive experience in drafting, and in civil, lighting, or electrical design. Must be proficient in AutoCAD, preferable Civil 3D, with solid experience in a production environment. Knowledge of lighting design and Canadian Electrical Code is an asset. Applicants should be able to demonstrate effective communication skills and computer literacy. Applicants should be able to work independently and check their own work. *Working environment* Most work will be performed in an office environment, in a modern, brand new office near Chinook Centre. Field work is performed in an outdoor environment, and it may be on sites with ongoing construction activities.
