*Job Description:*
The *Assistant Warehouse Manager* will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our warehouse facility. Working closely with the Warehouse Manager, this role will involve overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, as well as managing the warehouse team. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of efficiency and safety.
*Responsibilities:*
* *Warehouse Operations: *Assist in the overall management of the warehouse, including ensuring efficient and safe storage of goods.
Oversee the receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming shipments.
Supervise the picking, packing, and loading of orders for delivery.
Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliations.
* *Team Leadership: *Provide guidance and supervision to warehouse staff, including training and development.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members and monitor their performance.
Foster a positive work environment, emphasizing teamwork and safety awareness.
* *Inventory Management: *Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize errors and losses.
Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to optimize inventory levels and reorder points.
Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
* *Quality and Safety: *Enforce safety regulations and best practices to create a safe working environment.
Ensure that goods are handled and stored in compliance with quality standards.
Implement quality control measures to prevent product damage or defects.
* *Process Improvement: *Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.
Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to implement and monitor process changes.
Track and report key performance indicators related to warehouse operations.
* *Documentation and Reporting: *Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and warehouse activities.
Generate reports on warehouse performance, including productivity and inventory accuracy.
Assist with data analysis to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
* At least 3 years experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
* Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
* Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and safety regulations.
* Proficiency in using warehouse management software and inventory tracking systems.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
