The base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.As a candidate, you are encouraged to ask compensation related questions and have an open dialogue with your recruiter who can provide you more specific details for this role.Job Description:Department Overview:Market Risk (MR) is responsible for managing the ever-changing and dynamic world of trading and non-trading market risk, counterparty credit, margin management and liquidity risk. Within MR, we are accountable for supporting TD Securities and TBSM business objectives in accordance with TD's risk appetite and regulatory expectations. MR provides independent oversight of enterprise-wide market, counterparty credit and liquidity risks; ensuring all significant risks are appropriately measured, reported, analyzed and transparent.As a Market Risk Analyst, you will be a specialist for a range of market risk related matters. You will be supporting and providing oversight, commentary, and strategy analysis in connection to team and individual initiatives. You will be part of a group that is responsible for several activities related to the analysis, reporting, and monitoring of risk metrics such as market risk, VaR and Stress. In addition, the team executes infrastructure changes with regards to the implementation of new or revised risk policies, regulatory requirements, system updates, ad-hoc measurements used by the Bank to monitor market risk holistically.Job Description:Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with enterprise policies, frameworks, and TD's risk appetite.Develop and operationalize standards, policies, and processes to identify, report and mitigate overall risk exposures within the business.Develop and maintain knowledge of existing and emerging risks across the business.Conduct reporting and analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions and make recommendations on programs, policies, and practices.Integrate the broader organizational context into advice and solutions.Understand the industry, competition and the factors that differentiate the organization.Motivate and develop relationships with internal and external business partners.Encourage a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, knowledge of the business, quality, innovation, and teamwork.Validate daily market risk, VaR, Stressed VaR and Backtesting exposures are captured, aggregated, and reported with completeness and accuracy in accordance with existing market risk policies.Continuously reinforce business knowledge such as trading strategies and analytical principles underlying the pricing and risk management of financial derivativesCheck day over day Risk metrics & VaR results, comparing with existing risk metrics and historical highs and lows.Participate in stress testing and ad hoc analyses to assess the risk levels.Participate in onboarding of risk for new products and business lines to the risk framework.Create new tools to enhance existing daily production experiences using Python and/or other programming languages.Job Requirements:Undergraduate degree and/or over 2-3 years of related experience.In-depth knowledge of risk processes and methodologies.Excellent analytical, judgement and decision-making skills in assessing and handling risk.A dynamic professional with a positive approach- LocationToronto, ON
