Apply now and be a part of our dynamic team! *Key Responsibilities:* * ·Install and service signs to Work Order or Service Order specifications in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures. * Complete all photograph requirements ? 100% of before and after views. * Inspect signs for defects prior to and after installation. Troubleshoot and resolve problems on the job site. Provide immediate feedback to Installation Manager regarding any problems or issues. * Understand the principles of construction of sign boxes and channel letters, and the wiring and assembly of illuminated signs and letters. * Read and interpret drawings. * Oversee proper cargo handling, equipment preparation and load securement. Assist in loading and unloading trucks. Do pick- ups and deliveries when necessary. * Communicate courteously and effectively with the public, customers and co-workers both verbally and in writing. * Inspect and maintain the boom truck to ensure it meets MTO requirements. Know and comply with regulations for safe operation of your vehicle, load security, hours of work, etc. Perform pre-operational inspections required under company policy. * Report all vehicle defects, as well as any hazards, accidents, incidents, traffic violations and/or damage to the vehicle immediately. * Complete all necessary paperwork, including daily vehicle inspection(s), logbooks, work orders, etc. * Maintain boom truck and jobsite area in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Ensure adequate levels of inventory and supplies are available on truck for installation and service duties. * Direct boom truck helper(s) and assist in training. * Know, understand and comply with all company expectations in the Employee Handbook including all aspects of the Health and Safety Program. Attend and complete all required training. Know, understand and comply with Health and Safety Programs of clients where required. *Requirements:* * Previous sign experience is required. * High School Diploma * Hold a valid Class D driver?s license with a clean driver?s abstract. * Physically fit and able to perform strenuous labour including lifting, climbing, and working at heights. * Ability to operate hand and power tools. * A willingness to work during evenings and weekends, as needed. * Ability to work in harsh weather conditions, comfortable to work outside year round. * Highly organized and dependable. _In accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and the Ontario Human Rights Code, Zip Signs will provide accommodation throughout the recruitment and selection process to applicants with disabilities.
