Based in Winnipeg?s Centreport district, Mehtoj is a great place to begin your career and take it to new heights. *Responsibilities* * Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport freight across designated routes. * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. * Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight during transport. * Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other required documentation. * Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. * Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation and vehicle operation. * Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle readiness for each trip. *Experience* * Minimum 2 years of experience. * Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations. * Strong knowledge of automotive repair can enhance efficiency in maintaining the vehicle. * Excellent navigation skills and ability to read maps or use GPS systems effectively. *Requirements* * Valid Class 1 Driver License Job Type: Full-time Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour Expected hours: 70 per week Additional pay: * Bonus pay Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Day shift * Evening shift * Monday to Friday * Morning shift * Night shift * Weekends as needed Work Location: In person- LocationRosser, MB
