*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for patients. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, as well as the ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals in a hospital or clinical setting. The Pharmacist will play a crucial role in medication administration, patient education, and the management of pharmaceutical services.
*Duties*
* Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy.
* Dispense medications accurately and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
* Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and interactions.
* Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and medication management.
* Monitor patient outcomes and adjust medication regimens as necessary.
* Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
* Educate patients and staff on medical terminology related to medications and treatments.
* Participate in acute care settings, providing pharmaceutical expertise in critical situations.
* Support pediatric care initiatives by providing specialized knowledge in pediatric pharmacotherapy.
*Experience*
* A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution is required.
* Active pharmacist license in the state of practice is mandatory.
* Experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred but not required.
* Familiarity with medication administration protocols and patient care practices is essential.
* Knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable, particularly in relation to pediatrics and acute care environments.
