Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Education Assistant at Grasmere School, Alberta Beach, Alberta.Successful candidate responsibilities: Provide support to students in an inclusive setting Follow the direction of the classroom TeacherPreference will be given to candidates who: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents and staffWork collaboratively and co-operatively with teachers and other educational assistants in the classroom/schoolUnderstand and carry out oral and written directionWork independently with minimal instructionDemonstrate effective organizational and communication skills Respect confidentiality Practice professionalism with all Grasmere School students, staff, administration, parents and publicAre aware of NGPS policies and administrative proceduresHave an understanding of the teaching/learning processHave strong interpersonal skills and patienceEnjoys working in a team environmentStart Date: ASAPHours: 6 hours a day, 5 days a weekApplication Process: Email a cover letter and resume, including references, by December 5, 2024 to:Ms. Trish Muir, PrincipalGrasmere SchoolPhone: 780-924-3758trish.muir@ngps.caIf shortlisted, applicants must bring to the interview a Release of Results of Vulnerable Sector Check that is current within three (3) months.
