*Overview*
Robins Investments is a fast growing investment company focused on Real Estate Construction, Short term and long term rentals, and the Restaurant Industry. We operate throughout Ontario, New Brunswick, PEI and Florida. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with a focus on accuracy and compliance. This role is essential in ensuring the financial health of our organization through meticulous record-keeping and analysis.
*Duties*
* Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
* Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
* Conduct financial audits to verify the integrity of financial data and compliance with regulations.
* Assist in budgeting processes
* Oversee payroll functions, ensuring accuracy in employee compensation and deductions.
* Utilize accounting software for efficient data entry, reporting, and analysis.
* Manage all aspects of the company's financial transactions
* Provide necessary documentation as needed to financial lenders
* Work with contracted Accountants as needed for compliance
* Ensure CRA Remittances are paid on time
* Oversee bookkeepers as needed
*Experience and Qualifications*
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent designation preferred)
* Proven experience in accounting or a related field, with a strong understanding of financial services.
* Familiarity with budgeting, payroll, bank reconciliation, accounts receivable, accounts payable, corporate finance, financial auditing, account analysis, and accounting software is highly desirable.
* Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Experience with restaurant accounting and/or rental property accounting an asset
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Proven experience in accounting/finance leadership roles, ideally within the construction industry
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements
* Ability to communicate financial information effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Fluent in Sage, QuickBooks, and other related accounting programs

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
