To learn more, visit: www.holytrinityschool.caJOB DESCRIPTION <p>We are looking for a dynamic Music Teacher to teach the BC music curriculum to students in grades K-7 on a part-time basis (3 days per week). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and a love for teaching young children. This is a short-term contract position commencing in April 2025, with the potential for a continuing contract for the 2025/2026 school year.<p>At Holy Trinity School, we are proud of our supportive and close-knit faith based community. Responsibilities:<p> Teach the BC music curriculum to students in grades K-7, covering a range of topics including music theory, performance, and appreciation.<p> Lead students in music activities, including singing, movement, playing instruments with everything from Boom Whackers, Orff Instruments, Ukulele, Guitar and concert band <p>instruments, and exploring various music genres.<p> Plan and deliver engaging lessons that foster creativity and a love of music.<p> Support the development of student musical skills and knowledge in a variety of settings, from classroom instruction to performances.<p> Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate music into the broader school experience.<p> Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged and supported.<p> Participate in school events and help organize music-related performances and activities.Qualifications:<p> A degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).<p> A valid teaching certificate (preferred) or eligibility to teach in BC.<p> Strong proficiency in playing piano and/or other instruments.<p> Previous experience teaching music to children, ideally in an elementary school setting.<p> A passion for working with children and helping them develop their musical talents.<p> Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.<p> A positive, enthusiastic attitude and a commitment to fostering a fun, engaging, and welcoming classroom.For more information about Holy Trinity School or this teaching opportunity please visit our website holytrinityschool.ca or email the principal at kevin.smith@holytrinitys- LocationVancouver, BC
