Position #: V44249 Expected Start Date: January 06, 2025 Union: HSAS Facility: Emergence Medical Services - Regina City/Town: Regina Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Full-time temporary Expected Up to Date: January 06, 2026 FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends Hours of Work: 12 hour shifts Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Job Description: The Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic is responsible for responding to emergent and non-emergent calls for service; provides initial assessment, treatment and transport of ill or injured persons at the basic life support level. Human Resources Exemption: No EducationGrade 12 or equivalent. Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic currently licensed in the Province of Saskatchewan. Current Health Care Provider(C) with AED certification.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesPhysically fit. Must have a high level of technical skills and knowledge as an Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic; strong client focused interpersonal skills, above average ability to respond and function appropriately during stressful and emergent situations; thorough knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, thorough knowledge of application and operation of all equipment pertinent to the job, and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Licenses- Current International Trauma Life Support-Basic Certificate (ITLS)- Valid Class 4 driver's license and Emergency Vehicle Operations trainingOther Information- Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement- Please provide a cover letter and resume when applying for this position- For more information on the city of Regina please visit ht...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.- LocationRegina, SK
