Title: *Operations Engineer* Employment Type: Full Time - Employee Location: Calgary, Alberta Reports To: V.P. This is an exciting opportunity to join a proven small start up team in the early stages of a significant growth ramp. *Role* We are seeking an individual to fulfill the responsibilities of an Operations Engineer within the Calgary based operations team. *Responsibilities* · Monitor, troubleshoot and optimize all aspects of production operations ensuring safety and strong runtime of new and existing infrastructure. · Ensuring accurate measurement and precise reporting of field production and operating costs. · Design, source and implement workover programs, ARO programs, artificial lift systems and wellsite equipping to support production throughout the life of wells. · Identify and implement operating cost reduction strategies and production optimization projects to maximize field netbacks. · Support asset team as necessary with evaluations and acquisitions. · Act as the primary contact between field foreman, operators, wellsite supervisors, service partners and the Calgary technical and management team to deliver best in class asset development. · Interact with marketing on forecasting production volumes and managing interruptions. · Engage and participate in the rapid growth of the Company while providing input on continuous improvement of practices, procedures and designs. *Qualifications* · An in-depth knowledge of production operations including various downhole well operations, batteries, compressor stations, gas plants, well performance and storage facilities. · Minimum 5 years oil and gas experience with an APEGA P.Eng membership · SCADA and production entry experience (Avocet would be an asset) · Self motivated with ability to work independently and within a fast paced team environment · Strong computer skills including various SCADA, Geoscout, Excel and Office Suite · Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills · Highly organized with ability to manage and prioritize a demanding and constantly changing workload in a high growth, fast paced environment · Priority will be given to candidates with multidisciplinary experience between traditional production, facilities and completions engineering roles.
