<p>Hi, I'm Maxime, a recruitment specialist for temporary and permanent positions in engineering, manufacturing, and technical roles at Fed Manutech. <br>We are experts who speak your language. <br>We are committed to supporting you throughout your job search and every stage of your career.</p><p>I am currently recruiting for one of my clients, a company specializing in food production and packaging located in Laval, Quebec, for the position of Maintenance Manager - 40 hours per week.</p><p>Reporting to the Operations Director, your responsibilities will include: <br>* Planning, organizing, and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance activities. <br>* Optimizing the performance of production and packaging equipment. <br>* Analyzing maintenance needs and recommending improvements. <br>* Managing a team of technicians and supporting their professional development. <br>* Overseeing the installation and commissioning of new equipment. <br>* Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. <br>* Managing the maintenance department's budget and negotiating with suppliers. <br>* Actively participating in continuous improvement projects. <br>* Updating technical documentation and maintenance reports.</p><p>The use of English is required for this position for the following reasons: <br>Communication with international customers: As some of our customers are based abroad, you will be required to communicate regularly with them in English, both orally and in writing. <br>Working with English-speaking partners: You will be required to work with English-speaking suppliers and partners to monitor orders and manage contracts. <br>Drafting documents in English: You will be responsible for drafting reports, proposals and contracts in English, for our international customers.</p><p>Professional Skills <br>* Strong leadership and team management abilities. <br>* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. <br>* Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. <br>* In-depth knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance. <br>Our ideal candidate is driven by continuous improvement and excels in close collaboration with other departments. They have a solid technical background and strong project management skills. <br>Your Background <br>* A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the food or manufacturing industry. An experience in a regulated industry is mandatory <br>* Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field. <br>* Proven experience in team management and proficiency in maintenance management tools (CMMS). <br>* Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards. <br>* Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset. <br> <br>Benefits <br>* Salary: Between 95k$ and 105k$ <br>* Vacation: 3 weeks (negotiable) <br>* Retirement Program: Employer-matched RRSP + Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP) <br>* Group Insurance: Life, health, and disability, available from day one</p>
