*Job description* Responsibilities: - Safely operate a 5 Ton Straight truck, automatic transmission. - Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery and pickup of freight. - Load and unload cargo using proper equipment and techniques. - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to maintain a safe driving record. - Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety. - Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or damages. - Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate deliveries. Skills: - Proficient in driving large trucks, ie 5 ton Straight truck. - Knowledge of route driving to efficiently navigate through designated areas. - Ability to load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques. - Knowledge of freight transportation procedures and regulations. - Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
