*Job Overview*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team two days per week on Mondays and Tuesdays. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our parish office by providing exceptional administrative support. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in office procedures, and the ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
*Responsibilities*
* Manage daily office operations, including answering phones and responding to emails.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
* Provide excellent customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
* Maintain organized filing systems for both physical and electronic documents.
* Assist with managing room booking calendar.
* Perform clerical duties such as data entry, mass entries, and registry entries.
* Support the Office Manager and Pastor with daily office procedures including reception, cheque preparation, deposits, bulletin preparation, accounting data entry, and customer service in a parish office setting.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and communication.
* Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience in an administrative or office support role is preferred.
* Strong customer service skills with a focus on professionalism and courtesy.
* Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, ) and other relevant software.
* Experience in a parish office environment is a plus but not required.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
* Strong proofreading skills to ensure all documents are error-free.
