With its hip and historic allure, Moda Hotel Vancouver offers 69 chic guestrooms and suites and an inspiring collection of establishments including the award-winning Cibo Trattoria and Uva Wine + Cocktail Bar, the stylish Red Card Sports Bar and specialty beer and wine store, Viti Wine and Lager. We are looking for a hardworking and reliable *Guest Service Agent *with an uplifting personality to join our team! *What You?ll Do* * Welcome guests on arrival in the lobby in a warm, friendly and professional manner. * Ensure reservations/inquiries are handled correctly and accurately. * Gain knowledge about different room types, current rates, amenities, services and all hotel procedures and promotions. * Check and ensure the accuracy of the reception float. * Maintain confidentiality of hotel and guest information. * Ensuring exact compliance with registration and departure procedures and completion of all documentation necessary. * Book reservations by phone and process reservations with a high degree of accuracy. * Ensure emails are responded to effectively and quickly to various inquiries and requests for booking. * Provide anticipatory service, seeking to exceed the expectations of each guest through personalized service, and strong teamwork and execution. *What You Have* * 1+ years of HOTEL FRONT DESK or Travel agency experience is required. * Previous front desk experience is an asset. * Computer literacy skills. * Ability to listen and respond in a calm, diplomatic manner to any guest issues. * Excellent personal and presentation and communication skills. * A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service. * Availability to work varying shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, relief audits, and holidays. * Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision. * Must be legally authorized to work in Canada to be considered and living in Vancouver. *Why You?ll Love Working with Us* * Part-time option available, permanent position * Discount on food * Career development and opportunity for advancement Job Type: Part-time Pay: $18.50-$20.00 per hour Additional pay: * Commission pay * Tips Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking * Vision care Schedule: * Evening shift * Holidays * Night shift * Weekends as needed Work Location: In person- LocationVancouver, BC
