*About the Role:*
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented *Assistant Warehouse Manager* to support the daily operations of our warehouse. The ideal candidate will assist in managing inventory, receiving shipments, booking client deliveries, ensuring efficient workflows, and maintaining high standards of safety and organization. You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager, delivery teams, and other departments to uphold the company's reputation for outstanding customer service.
*Your Skillset:*
* Proven experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a furniture or a trade-related industry.
* Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP software).
* Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
* Excellent communication and team management abilities.
* Valid forklift operator certification (preferred but not required).
*Responsibilities:*
_Operational Support_
* Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
* Assist in scheduling and coordinating deliveries to meet client timelines and expectations.
* Implement and maintain organizational systems to streamline inventory management.
_Inventory Management_
* Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
_Team Leadership_
* Supervise and train warehouse staff to ensure adherence to safety and operational protocols.
* Delegate tasks effectively to optimize team productivity.
* Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
_Quality Control_
* Inspect furniture for damages or defects upon receipt and before dispatch.
* Ensure products are handled, stored, and transported with care to maintain their condition.
_Safety and Compliance_
* Enforce health and safety standards in the warehouse.
* Conduct regular checks on equipment and report any maintenance needs.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
