CCOHS? Finance Department is responsible for centralized financial analysis; full-cycle accounting; financial, government and transparency reporting; management of Access to Privacy and Information Requests, cash management; internal controls; procurement and order processing. As an integral member of the Finance team, the Financial Analyst will assist with the full accounting cycle, ensuring application of sound accounting principles/practices, preparation of monthly internal financial statements, service unit statistical analysis, reporting and full account reconciliations.

*About the Role*
As a Financial Analyst, you will provide insight on the products and services that comprise CCOHS? cost-recovery portfolio and oversee the application of risk management principles in all areas of the business, ensuring compliance with applicable framework, policies, and directives.
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for general accounting services including posting journal entries, sub ledger management, reconciliation of financial systems, and maintenance of budgets and forecasts.
You know how to work collaboratively and will be involved in delivering financial and statistical reporting to the Leadership team and Service Unit Managers. This reporting will include both internal and external financial reports as well as strategic Key Performance Indicators delivered to the CCOHS Council of Governors.
*What You Have *
* Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business with a focus on Accounting or Finance.
* Professional Accounting Designation.
* Minimum of 2 years of post-designation work experience in similar role.
* Strong financial acumen and analytical agility.
* Strong Canadian GAAP knowledge and financial statement disclosure.
* Federal government experience is an asset.
* Experience preparing financial statements, audit working papers and account reconciliations.
* Advanced working knowledge of Excel and strong database skills.
* Significant experience in creating business intelligence and reporting.
* Ability to work in both official languages is an asset.
