*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. If you are passionate about driving and have experience in commercial driving, we want to hear from you. We are able to accommodate the morning pick up and end of day drop off location to be any of our Bowmanville, Lindsay, Peterborough or Belleville stores in order to be as close to your home as possible. *Responsibilities* * Safely operate a truck to transport freight to designated locations. * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. * Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of goods. * Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and cargo details. * Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. * Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or delays. * Perform basic maintenance tasks on the truck, including checking fluid levels and tire pressure. * Operate heavy equipment as needed, including forklifts for loading/unloading. *Experience* * Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid DZ licence * Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred. * . * Knowledge of automotive repair is beneficial but not required. * Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety regulations. * Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet delivery deadlines. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
