*Job Summary*
The Material Coordinator plays a critical role in managing the flow of materials and supplies within the organization. This position involves coordinating sourcing activities, vendor management, and ensuring that materials are available for production while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
*Main Responsibilities*:
*Purchasing:*
* Ordering raw materials and shop supplies through an ERP system
* Source new materials based on customer demand.
* Monitor and track vendor performance
* Maintaining inventory stock levels and reorder accordingly and conducting inventory counts.
* Program ERP system to optimize stock levels and reordering points.
* Track orders and deliveries
* Arrange freight and logistics for the delivery of goods to our production facility.
* Prepare customs paperwork for cross boarder shipments of raw materials.
*Bill of Material (BOM) Reviewing:*
* Preparing changes to costs estimates when customers change their plans, or when the availability of materials or labor changes
* Researching, sourcing, negotiating and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
* Creating bills of material
*Scheduling:*
* Schedule production operations based on customer sales orders, capacity and inventory level requirements
*Qualifications*
* This position is for 16-24 hours per week, depending on the needs of the business.
* Understanding of basic math, how to keep track of expenses, and how to follow a budget
* Previous experience in Purchasing an asset
* Experience with an ERP system (such as EPICOR) is preferred.
* Available during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm).
* Proficient with working with computers and MS Office
* Safety shoes are required to go into the plant
* Able to sit for long periods of time at desk
* Strong attention to detail, organization, planning and prioritizing skills
* Able to multi-task between projects/ assignments
* Strong communication skills
* Excellent public relations skills
Job Type: Part-time
Expected hours: 16 ? 24 per week
Flexible language requirement:
* French not required

* 8 hour shift

* Monday to Friday
* Morning shift
Education:
* Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
* purchasing: 1 year (preferred)
