ABOUT US Founded by passionate soccer enthusiasts, *Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club (CMFSC)* has grown from a single team to one of the largest and most successful clubs in the province. Since merging with a community club in 2007, CMFSC offers top-tier recreational and elite soccer programs for over 4,000 members, from toddlers to adults. We?re excited to add a new ?player? to our administrative team! As our club continues to grow, we?re seeking a dynamic, energetic and proactive *Finance Manager* to join our leadership team. If you're passionate about community, sports, and making a positive impact, we?d love to welcome you to our vibrant, fast-paced soccer club. This remote position offers the freedom to tailor your schedule, with occasional evening and weekend hours to meet the dynamic demands of our community-driven non-profit. As a vital part of our leadership team, you'll work directly with the Executive Director and collaborate closely with the Finance Committee of the Board, ensuring the financial well-being and long-term sustainability of our club. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, family status or disability. *What You?ll Do: * * *Financial Reporting & Compliance* (30%): Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; manage the annual financial review processes and ensure compliance with provincial, federal, and municipal regulations, including those related to gaming and charitable organizations. * *Budgeting & Financial Strategy* (25%): Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage budgets, analyze financial performance, and provide strategic advice to ensure the club?s long-term financial stability. * *Financial Systems & Investment Management* (20%): Oversee and enhance financial systems, manage investments, and recommend improvements to increase efficiency. * *Leadership & Team Support* (25%): Serve as the financial leader of the organization, fostering a culture of financial responsibility, providing training, and collaborating with leadership on financial strategies while overseeing a bookkeeper and the financial day-to-day activities of the organization. *What You?ll Bring:* * *CPA Designation*: Essential for ensuring compliance and financial best practices. * *Non-Profit & Gaming Finance Expertise*: Knowledge of BC Lotteries and non-profit funding mechanisms is highly preferred. * *Budgeting & Forecasting Skills*: Experience managing complex budgets across multiple departments. * *Leadership & Communication*: Ability to clearly explain financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders with experience managing staff. * *Communication & Strategic Agility: *Exceptional ability to communicate financial insights and strategies clearly and concisely, tailoring your message to different audiences.
