*Join Our Team as an Assistant Manager at The Exit Lounge* The Exit Lounge, located at 1101 Baxter Road, Ottawa, ON, is a fast-growing restaurant and events hotspot looking for a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. This role offers competitive pay ranging from $20?$25 per hour based on experience, with health insurance available for full-time employees. We are seeking a candidate with at least two years of managerial experience with five years of bartending and serving experience. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and the ability to train staff on delivering exceptional customer service. Experience in handling large parties, corporate events, and evening club events is essential. As Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for training and supervising staff to maintain high standards of customer service, supporting bartending and serving teams during busy hours, and coordinating large-scale events to ensure seamless operations. Additionally, you will assist with daily operations to maintain quality and efficiency with the kitchen and bar. Send your resume and cover letter to *jess@skate-play.com *and let us know why you?d be a perfect fit for The Exit Lounge team. *Responsibilities* * Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring compliance with company policies. * Supervise and train staff members, fostering a collaborative team environment. * Engage with customers to provide excellent service and address any inquiries or concerns. * Manage cashiering duties, including overseeing transactions and ensuring accuracy in pricing. * Support retail sales initiatives by implementing effective marketing strategies. * Assist in budgeting processes and monitor bar and kitchen expenses to maintain profitability. * Collaborate with management on training development programs for staff enhancement. * Negotiate with vendors for pricing and inventory management. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment. *Requirements* * Proven experience in a restaurant managerial position or a similar supervisory role is required. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members. * Experience in cashiering and understanding of pricing strategies is advantageous. * Ability to supervise and develop staff while fostering a positive work culture. * Knowledge of budgeting practices and experience in negotiating prices with vendors is a plus. * A proactive approach to training development for team growth is required. * Must be able to work flexible hours, including nighttime and weekends as needed.
