Position #: 205460 Expected Start Date: November 25, 2024 Union: SUN Facility: Swift Current Community Services City/Town: Swift Current Department: Primary Care Sites Type: Part-time temporary Expected Up to Date: March 31, 2025 FTE: 0.43 Shift Information: Days Hours of Work: 12 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse Practitioner $52.590 to $62.910 Travel Required: No Job Description: In collaboration with the health team, the primary health nurse will provide primary health services to the community. This includes: health promotion and protection, disease and injury prevention, provision of supportive, instructive, treatment and emergency services; collaboration with and referral to other health care professionals; initiating and participating in community development initiatives and participating in evaluative projects. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience- Three years fulltime experience as a Registered Nurse- One year experience in community needs assessment/development/health promotionEducation- Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP)Licenses- Valid Class 5 driver's licenseOther Education and Training- BLS for Healthcare Provider (Level C) - Heart and StrokeCompetencies- High level interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and colleagues- Leadership skills- Critical thinking skills- Decision making skills- Listening skillsKnowledge and Abilities- Highly developed written and oral communication skills- Demonstrates empathy, trust and respect in the provision of care- Ability to demonstrate initiative, independent judgment & organizational skills- Demonstrates ability to accept and implement change.- Ability to provide holistic care to individuals,families & the communityOther Information- For more information ...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.- LocationSwift Current, SK
