C o-Op Opportunity <p>Information and Communications Technology (ICT) <p>January 2025 - April 2025<p>Posted November 20, 2024<p>Internal/External<p>Date of Appointment: <p>Monday January 6, 2025<p>Reporting to: <p>Manager of ICT Client Support<p>Description: <p>As a HWCDSB ICT Co-op Student, you will play a crucial role in our Windows 11 deployment project. This hands-on position offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in ICT support and systems administration. You will work closely with our ICT team to ensure a smooth and efficient transition to Windows 11 for all users.<p>Duties: Prepare and configure hardware and software for deployment in educational and administrative settings.<p> Perform system imaging and software installations.<p> Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the deployment.<p> Provide user support and training on Windows 11 features and functionalities.<p> Accurately update Helpdesk tickets and resolutions, including asset information, in the Helpdesk ticketing System.<p> Use the Helpdesk ticketing system to manage daily work assignments and priority tickets, ensuring high customer satisfaction.<p> Provide training on HWCDSB endpoint devices and software to staff, both individually and in groups.<p> Recognize and escalate complex issues as needed.<p> Collaborate with team members to ensure project milestones are met.<p> Support Audio-Visual equipment across school board networks, including interactive projectors and sound systems in classrooms, meeting rooms, and auditoriums.<p> Duties as assigned.Projects: Windows 11 Hardware Refresh Rollout.<p> iPad and Computer System configurations and deploys.Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Information Technology, or related post-secondary program.<p> Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and computer hardware.<p> Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.<p> Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<p> Ability to work independently and as part of a team.<p> Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.<p> Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.<p> Strong commitment to customer satisfaction.<p> Maturity in handling confidential information.<p> Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel to various sites within the HWCDSB geographic area.<p> Ability to lift and move objects up to 10Kg (e.g., computers, monitors, UPS units).<p> Comfortable working at heights and on ladders.Location: St. Mary Catholic Education Resource Centre<p>Salary: Minimum Wage plus 4% Vacation Pay<p>Last date for consideration: Wednesday December 4 , 2024 at 4:00 p.m. <p>Please include the full posting title within the subject line.
