The successful candidate will play an integral leadership role in collaboratively setting the daily business and finance news agenda, producing daily live programs and multi-platform content.Key ResponsibilitiesHelp set daily news agenda by monitoring news wires, breaking news press releases, CTV News content and Bloomberg partner contentProduce and help write daily business content and lead a team of chase producers and anchorsProduce breaking news and live-event coverage for a sophisticated audience who knows and understands topics such as finance, business, markets and investmentVet/edit scripts and digital stories Help maintain editorial calendarProactively share content with the broader CTV News team on daily and weekly contentMentor/train staff on business journalism best practices Lead Senior News Team on special projectsCritical QualificationsStrong knowledge of business, finance and economics5+ years of business journalism experienceComfortable working in a high-paced, deadline-driven environmentA self-starter who is eager to contribute content on multiple platformsA team player who gives and receives feedback wellA journalist who is committed to the highest industry and ethical standardsPreferred QualificationsExtensive experience producing live news from both an editorial and production perspectiveExperience building line-ups, and working in a live control roomProven recent experience in supervisory news rolesA journalism and/or business degree will be considered an assetExperience with Bloomberg Terminal#EmployeeReferralProgramAdequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
