The District of Tofino is looking for a candidate to fill the casual relief position of Public Works Labourer. Reporting to the Labour Foreperson, under the direction of the Public Works Superintendent, the Public Works Labourer is responsible for a variety of semi-skilled and unskilled public works tasks and duties. These duties are generally physical in nature and require the use of simple tools and equipment. A detailed job description outlining the duties and qualifications is available on the District?s website at www.tofino.ca. *HOURS OF WORK * This is a casual relief position. Specific hours and days of work are flexible and may include evening and weekends, depending on community and staffing needs. The hourly wage for this position is $29.98, plus an additional 15.2% in lieu of benefits, vacation and statutory holidays. This position is subject to a probationary period during which time the wage will be $26.98.
