*Job Summary*
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, excellent navigation skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. The Truck Driver will also play a vital role in maintaining the vehicle and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
*Responsibilities*
* Safely operate a commercial truck to transport freight to designated locations.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
* Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery schedules.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered during transport.
* Perform basic automotive repair tasks as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.
* Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment when necessary for loading and unloading tasks.
*Requirements*
* Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
* Proven experience in commercial driving or related field is preferred.
* Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
* Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
* Familiarity with basic automotive repair techniques is a plus.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
* Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading and unloading processes.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends if necessary.
