Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Address customers' complaints or concerns. Mountain driving expertise. Professionalism in customer service. Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy. Load and unload goods. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform brake adjustments. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Transport and handle dangerous goods. Drive trucks to transport materials and well service equipment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks). Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles). Type of trucking and equipment: Roll-off truck. Extended length tractor-trailer combination. Flatbed. Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles). Tractor-trailer. Tractor-trailer B train. Transportation/travel information: Drive manual transmission vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Screening questions: Are you available for shift or on-call work?. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers . Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations . Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers .
