Education: Master's degree. Work setting: Language disorders. Articulation disorders. Speech-language and voice problems of hearing impaired. Rehabilitation centre and special health institution. Tasks: Conduct speech-language tests and examinations. Diagnose and evaluate speech, voice, resonance, language, cognitive-linguistic and swallowing disorders. Instruct technicians and students. Supervise technical and support staff. Develop, plan and implement remedial programs to correct speech, voice, language, resonance, cognitive-linguistic and swallowing disorders. Hire and train staff. Provide advice and educational services to patients and families regarding communication and swallowing disorders. Establish personalized care plans working as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Provide information to patients and families regarding the nature, extent, impact and implications of hearing loss and treatment.
