We?re growing our team and are looking for a new colleagues to join the team. As an *HR Advisor* you will be part of the production and HR teams. You will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day human resources functions for a diverse client group of salary and hourly staff within the manufacturing facility. *This is an in-person, stand-alone role located in our Stittsville, Ottawa plant, reporting to the Plant Manager and Human Resources. Headquartered in Etobicoke, Ontario Saand Inc. has over 4 decades of glass fabrication experience and has helped construct some of Ontario?s most iconic buildings. *Duties & Responsibilities:* * Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related questions and concerns fostering an open-door policy approach to support team morale, the well-being of and health and safety of employees. * Provide plant level support for recruitment activities. Support new hire orientation and onboarding processes ensuring seamless integration for new employees. Complete on and offboarding processes e.g. new hire surveys, exit interviews, payroll change form submissions, building access, PPE assignment and collection. * Provide end-to-end employee services (including regular follow-up), and program support needs such as attendance and leaves management program (LOA, STD, WSIB, LTD, maternity/parental, etc.), town halls, updates to supervisors about return to work and complete related administrative requirements. * Participate in plant lean initiatives such as Gemba walks, production meetings, and other continuous improvement activities. * Collaborate with the local Plant Manager and the HR team to proactively promote employee engagement, safety, and wellness initiatives such as safety program initiatives, Jira safety incident report reviews, Toolbox and Small Talks and other employee and wellness communication needs or events. * Active participation in the local Joint Health & Safety Committee * Coordinate , track and deliver employee training programs to ensure compliance with safety and skill development initiatives. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including device and training certification, attendance, change forms and timekeeping records. * Stay abreast of the latest employment and human resources best practices. * Assist the HR team with other interesting projects. *What we are looking for* * A positive attitude, a willingness to learn and motivation to succeed in a fast-paced environment. * Post secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Actively working towards or has attained their CHRP designation. * Up to 2 years prior experience in HR in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred. * Working knowledge of HR practices, procedures, employment laws and principles, as well as exposure to lean principles as applied in a manufacturing plant. * Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills * Strong organizational, detail orientation, mathematical, and time management abilities. * Strong drive for results orientation; ability to prioritize, plan and execute. * Detail and analytical orientation; capable of handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion. * Strong M- LocationStittsville, ON
