Spire Development has an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant in our Delta office. The Senior Accountant reports to Assistant Controller, and is responsible for fully cycle accounting including but not limited to monthly and annual financial statements, accounts payable, customer billing and accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, GST filing, payroll, and other accounting and financial analysis duties as assigned. *Responsibilities:* · Preparing monthly and annual financial statements with reconciliation of general ledger accounts and preparation of working papers · Preparing annual budget for income producing commercial/residential properties · Preparing monthly customer billing invoices · Reviewing and recording payable invoices, and issuing cheques · Reconciling bank and Visa · Preparing and filing GST returns · Processing bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salary employees · Other accounting and financial analysis duties as assigned *Qualifications and Requirements* * Minimum 5 years of full cycle accounting experience, and experience with Big 4 Firms would be an asset * Bachelor?s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field * CPA enrollment is required, and preference would be given to close to completion candidate (e.g. about to write a final exam) * Good verbal and written communication skills * Proficient in MS Office (Particularly MS Excel) * High level of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail * Strong problem solving, analytical, and prioritizing skills * Job costing and construction industry experience is an asset * Property Management accounting experience is an asset * Banking industry and mortgage underwriting experience is an asset * Knowledge of Viewpoint Spectrum and other ERP systems is an asset *Why Work Here?* · Competitive salary and benefits package based on experience · Friendly and professional working environment · Employee continuing professional development support *Please provide your salary expectation with your resume.* Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year Benefits: * Company events * Extended health care * On-site parking Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person- LocationDelta, BC
