Journeyman/Women Welder * Perform assigned duties in a safe and efficient manner and abide by all company policies and procedures. * Position includes but is not limited production welding, service & repair welding, prototype building, fabrication and fitter welding. * The use of various hand tools, machinery and equipment will be required to manufacture metal products. * This position will work with Managers, Supervisors and Lead Hands to make improvements to a variety of equipment for recycling and landfill operations. * Welder will be required to assist the various divisions with insight and knowledge of superior manufacturing methods, perform random maintenance, and have strong knowledge and skill in operating all metalworking machinery. * Required to read and understand production drawings, blueprints, work orders and other written instructions. * Conduct Technical Inspections. * Conduct repairs, modifications and retrofits. * Identify and correct any problems found in machines, equipment, or processes in order to facilitate operation. * MRF ? Material Recycling Facility including but not limited to: Conveyors, grinders, finger screens, boiler, tracking of belts, dust collection & suppression system, jib crane, ballistic separator * Repairs and fabrication for trucks, trailers and heavy equipment * Chips manufacturing structures, and Maintenance shop * Hours of work are Monday to Friday 6:30 a.m. ? 3:30 p.m., with potential for some overtime hours and/or weekend shifts. Requirements: * 5 years minimum experience as a Journeyman/woman Welder * High School Diploma/GED * Interprovincial Red Seal or CWB tickets. * Valid welding certification * Possess a valid driver's license. * Ability to work independently in a busy environment. * Experience with routine maintenance operations. * Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment. Work Conditions * Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs. * Travel to off-site locations may be required. * Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc. * Overtime as required. * Hazards associated with the trade. * Work both indoors and outdoors.
