Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for a Part-time Teacher Assistant at Oscar Adolphson Primary School, Valleyview, AB. <p>Successful candidate responsibilities: <p><p> Working with students one-on-one & in small groups in a Kindergarten classroom<p><p>Teach er Assistant s Qualifications : <p><p> Educational Assistant Certificate (desirable)<p> Early Childhood training and experience (desirable)<p><p>Necessary Skills and Knowledge: <p><p> Establish rapport and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents and staff<p> Work collaboratively and co-operatively with teacher and other educational assistants in the classroom/school<p> Work collaboratively with service provides such has Speech-Language Pathologist, Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist<p> Willingness to support students with toileting needs<p> Ability to support students' with varying social-emotional needs<p> Understand and carry out oral and written direction<p> Work independently with minimal instruction<p> Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills <p> Respect confidentiality <p> Practice professionalism with all OAP School students, staff, administration, parents and public<p> Be aware of NGPS policies and administrative procedures<p><p>Hours of Work: <p><p> 6 hours per day/5 days per week <p><p>Wage Rate: <p><p> $17.31/hour - $26.38/hour depending on qualifications and experience<p><p>Effective Date s : <p><p> ASAP<p><p>Application Process: <p><p> Email a cover letter and resume, including references, by November 25, 2024 to:<p><p>Ms. Cheryl Gascoyne, Principal<p>Oscar Adolphson Primary School<p>Phone: 780-524-3144<p>Email: Cheryl.gascoyne@ngps.ca<p>On-line: www.ngps.ca<p>If shortlisted, applicants must bring to the interview a Release of Results of Vulnerable Sector Check that is current within three (3) months. <p>We appreciate all applications, but we will only contact those who are shortlisted.- LocationValleyview, AB
