Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio. Tasks: Advise clients on beauty care treatments. Book appointments. Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences. Shampoo customers' hair. Shave and trim beards and mustaches. Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair. Maintain and order supplies. Supervision: 3-4 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Hairstylist Trade Certification. Hair styling techniques: Blow drying. Extensions. Spiking. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Personal suitability: Reliability. Team player. Screening questions: Are you currently a student?. Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
