That includes discussions and negotiations with the Government of Canada and organizations representing Mi'kmaq communities. Much of our work is conducted through the Mi'kmaq-Nova Scotia-Canada Tripartite Forum and the Made-in-Nova Scotia Process.</span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><p style="margin-bottom:11.0px"><br><br><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><span><span><span style="font-family:Calibri, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:10.5pt"><span style="font-family:'Arial', sans-serif"><span style="color:black">In addition, the Office has a mandate to increase public awareness and knowledge about the Mi'kmaq and our shared history through the Treaty Education Nova Scotia Initiative. In October 2020, the Province of Nova Scotia renewed its Memorandum of Understanding with Mi'kmaw Kina'matnewey and Millbrook First Nation to work in partnership for the purpose of advancing, supporting, and promoting Treaty Education in Nova Scotia and create opportunities for every Nova Scotian to learn about our shared history in the province and in Canada.
