*Job Summary*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of legal procedures. This role involves supporting attorneys in various tasks, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and timely, and maintaining effective communication with clients and court personnel.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and meetings by organizing case files and drafting documents.
* Draft legal documents while ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
* Perform data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date records in case management.
* Conduct client interviews to gather necessary information for ongoing cases.
* Proofread documents to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to legal formatting standards.
* Manage project timelines and deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks.
* Maintain effective phone etiquette when communicating with clients and court officials.
* Provide clerical support including filing, scanning, and organizing case files.
*Requirements*
* Experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a law firm or legal department is an asset.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone etiquette in French and English.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
* Familiarity with legal drafting processes and proofreading techniques is an asset.
* Previous experience in data entry and clerical duties is an asset.
