<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><strong>Thinkpath Engineering Services</strong> is looking for a <strong>Mechanical Design Engineer</strong> to fill a position located near <strong>Orangeville, ON.</strong> This is a 6 month contract-to-hire position.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>• Design and development of custom heavy equipment including conveyor and bulk material handling equipment using Solidworks.</p><p>• Design and analysis of industrial support structures.</p><p>• Provide mechanical calculations for custom equipment including gears, bearings, belts, drives and pulley systems.</p><p>• Interface with outside vendors for component selection.</p><p>• Develop CAD models and fabrication drawings in accordance with applicable standards</p><p>• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer generated reports</p><p>• Provide technical support to fabrication and field services teams</p><p>• Conduct field inspections of existing structures and prepare reports.</p><p>• Assist colleagues with bids and tenders for new clients from a technical perspective</p><p>• Able to travel to customer sites to convey customer requirements to management.</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p>• University degree in Structural, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.</p><p>• +5 years of design experience with <span class="long-word">structural/mechanical</span> components</p><p>• Experience in large bulk material handling equipment or conveyors.</p><p>• Proficient in 3-D Solidworks</p><p>• Strong structural design and analysis skills.</p><p>• Strong organisation and documentation skills.</p><p>• Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures</p><p>• Experience with project management is an asset.</p></div>Company Description<div>Thinkpath Engineering Services, LLC (TES) has been a global leader in Engineering and Design Services since 1977.
