*Job Summary* The job requires a Hearing Instrument Practitioner who will assess hearing under an audiologist?s supervision and direction. The clinician will also provide dispensing services which includes verifying and validating hearing instrument performance according to an audiologist?s prescription, direction, and supervision. *Daily Tasks and Responsibility* All tasks/ procedures related to assessments of hearing for the purpose of dispensing hearing aids (Including history taking, air and bone conduction thresholds, speech testing etc) as assigned and supervised by an audiologist. All tasks / procedures related to the dispensing of hearing aids (including fitting, adjustments, verification, validation, impression taking, shell repair and modification) .Adhere to all infection control and privacy and confidentiality standards. Maintain appropriate and complete records and documentation which will be reviewed and approved by an audiologist and must identify the clinician as a HIP. Knowledgeable about all products and services related to the Hearing centre. Committed to providing the highest level or Member service. Escorts members into the hearing testing facility and opens/ closes doors when required. *Education / Certifications *Registered/ licensed Hearing instrument practitioner with all qualifications to dispense Hearing aids in your province. Registered (or eligible for registration) with your Provincial association with any required licensing for practice. Clinical experience is preferred.
