*Job Summary*
Reporting to the CSIO of WOLF Advanced Technology Canada Inc., *Technical Writer* will be an active member of the PMO team. The *Technical Writer* must be able to learn complex technical information and possess the ability to communicate the information to people with engineering and technical professional backgrounds.
*Responsibilities*
* Work primarily with the engineering, and PMO teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements.
* Recommend and implement best practices for cohesive documentation.
* Create WOLF?s technical publications including Hardware Manuals, Software User Manuals (low level, drivers and firmware primarily, not software applications), write white papers and short info papers, and internal Wiki pages.
* Work with the Technical Support team to improve the end-user experience through written documentation improvements.
* Maintain a comprehensive glossary of technical terminology and documentation.
* Edit and refine documentation provided by colleagues.
* Assist with content updates to the internal and external websites.
* Assist the Marketing team with content.
* Additional related duties as assigned.
*Experience*
* Bachelor?s degree in engineering, science, or technical certificate, with background knowledge in at least some of the following: video graphics hardware (PCBs, GPUs, FPGAs, video formats), data fabric solutions (network technologies, network security, PCIe, multihost, etc.), drivers, firmware, AI hardware/technology, or related technologies.
* 5+ years experience creating customer-facing technical documentation for organizations that develop hardware and low-level software.
* Ability to deliver high quality documentation and procedural manuals for technical and executive audiences.
* Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts via self-directed learning and make them understandable in text and pictures.
* Excellent written English skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Visio and Adobe Acrobat.
* Working knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator preferred.
* Ability to build relationships and rapport quickly.
* Organized, detail-oriented and comfortable multitasking.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
WOLF is a military and aerospace manufacturer requiring strict adherence to CGP and ITAR requirements.
