*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join the Withdrawal Support Services team. Withdrawal Support Services is a 6 bed non-medical detox center where individuals who are experiencing substance withdrawals can stay for up to 30 days. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals. The cook prepares all meals, and ensures that all dishes are prepared according to our standards of excellence and food safety regulations. This position requires teamwork, creativity, and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. *Responsibilities* * Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, following recipes and menu plan. * Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and handling guidelines. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. * Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. * Ensure efficient meal preparation and service. * Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment. *Skills* * Proven experience in food service or as a Cook. * Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. * Ability to work independently in a kitchen environment. * Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. * Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with team members. * Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
